  1. Congratulations first to Sam for all of his hard work and Jacob to you for pushing Sam. I guess this proves your method is correct. Hard to make for a better advertisement of your books or method.

  2. I see this as a part of the book tour, really. I mean, published by QC or winning some random local event. Honestly…

  3. What an impressive achievement! Congratulations! 8,5 out of 11 with 3 of the Elite players of the world and scoring very well against them, is nothing of breathtaking. And on top of this he is now member of the exclusive 2700 club. Should buy his book fast before they will raise the prices 😉

Ups I meant nothing short of breathtaking of course.

🙂 I hope this will increase the sales of Sam’s book to such a level that he will write a sequel as promised!

  6. I’d like to get this book….but living in a country with a relatively weak $$ the hardback edition comes at a cost of over $70 which is hard to justify….

I know it seems expensive but think how much cost an hour of chess lesson with a super GM and this book will seem pretty cheap… personnaly i need between 50 and 100 hours to study completely a Quality Chess Book like one of the Grandmaster series… even at 70 dollars it is less a dollar per hour…. ok you don’t have the opportunity to actually ask your questions to the super GM who wrote this book but these books are so well written there are not much questions you can have which havent been answered in the book…

  8. How is the Wimbledon tickets purchasing going? You might need to sell a few more copies of Sam’s book! Hope you aren’t wriggling out of your bet by intending on taking Sam to the Juniors’ final instead of the real deal!

  9. this one goes out to Ben Finegold if he is reading this (for all the bashing of Sam Shankland):
PUT THAT IN YOUR PIPE AND SMOKE IT!!!

You know, there is a lot of ways to improve. Anyone who says their way is the “best” or anything like this is full of it. There is a lot of reasons why working with me has worked out well for Sam, but the primary is probably that he has felt accountable. The training material is good, of course, but you can buy my books and start there. Many have done it and thanked me for their accomplishments. But really, the positions is just a starting point, the difficult thing is doing consistent work. This is where people fail. Lack of consistency.

  11. That is right! Therefore I propose the Aagaard challenge, doing one diagram a day from all the six GM prep books. (As long as there is no wall being hit). I did not calculate how long it would take, but I estimate about a year. @Jacob Aagaard
