Rd5) e4 (Rg4 Re5 doesn’t look too good) Re5 Kf7 so maybe i can try and keep chasing the rook with Kf6/7… someone help me out here… must be missing something pretty major.

Why not just gxf3? Rg7+ is pussy being protected by the e rook.
So… 1.. gxf3 2. Rg7+ Kf8 3. Rxh7 Rd4 threatening..e4 and so on.
Except White can play 3. Rd8 instead,,,, 3. rd8 re8 r. Rd7 rc8 5. rxh7 rxc2 6. kd2 r8c2 7. ke3 re1 8. kd3 and white wins. If only the black passed pawn were harder to capture there might be a nice little trick 😉 .

a) 35. Rd8+ Re8 36. Rdd7 Re7!! 37. Rgxe7 g2 with a draw
