A nice little tactic takes the full point. Not too hard yet…
I would play 1.Rc8+ Ke7 (1…Kf7 2.c7 Nxc7 3.Ra7 Rc3 4.Bb6 +-) 2.Bc5+ Kf7 3.c7 Nxc7 4. Ra7 +-.
@Ray Of course I mean 1.Ra8+, not 1.Rc8+ 🙂
I wanted to play 3.Rf8 Nxf8 4.c7 but missed 3…Kg6 -:(
My first reaction was: 1.Bc5 (protecting the pawn from the black rook, and threatening Re7+) Nxc5 (2…Kd8 3.Bd6!) 2.c7 +-
But then I realised that after 1.Bc5 Rc3! things are no longer so simple. Changing the move order somewhat; 1.Ra8+ ought to win as Ray wrote above
how about Bc5 Nxc5 (Kd8 Bd6; Rb8 Re7+) Ra8 and then c7, c8Q
@JB As Jimmy said, 1.Bc5? Rc3!=. So give the check first as Ray indicates.
