For years people have asked for a deluxe hardback version of Learn from the Legends. I am starting to understand why, as this book easily won the “best of the first decade” vote. Here are the results (I know you cannot see Carlsen’s Assault on the Throne with 5 votes at the bottom, but I am travelling and on a laptop and will aim lower than for perfection).
Thank you to everyone who voted and especially to those who voted for me :-).
I have the German edition. It IS a nice hardback version :-).
I voted for “Pump up your rating” and it´s not in the list too.
Manfred
It is on the list. It was 2-3rd. I am sure that Colin or John will put in an image Monday. The problem is that my laptop screen is very small and that I export the lists through paint from “print screen” so the last two was cut off from the image.
Better late then never 🙂
@Jacob,
I have many of these books. But the one that really helped me to make me play better is your really wonderful book “Positional Play’. Very practical.
I am really playing better chess in the last half year, and I have to give credit to your book. These three questions are guiding me through the game.
Attack and defence is the one I also like. I use this one together with you attacking manuals.
Keep up your good work, and I am looking forward to your Endgame book!
greetings,
Peter
