Free ‘Book of the Month’ – October

We are continuing our special offer – if you buy three books or more and live in the normal European Union zone (as defined by UPS – for example, they exclude some islands and remote areas but include the United Kingdom) we will send you an extra book free. The previous default option on the free book was the Quality Chess Puzzle Book.

For October we will change that to THE ALTERMAN GAMBIT GUIDE – WHITE GAMBITS by Boris Alterman. The plan for November and December will be to switch the default option to BLACK GAMBITS VOLUME 1 for November, then VOLUME 2 for December. But if you already have the Alterman Gambit Guide book, or would prefer a different free book, then send us an email to salesgroup@qualitychess.co.uk with your order, asking to have it replaced with one of the following titles:

QUALITY CHESS PUZZLE BOOK
CHESS LESSONS
CARLSEN’S ASSAULT ON THE THRONE
POSITIONAL CHESS SACRIFICES
GRANDMASTER VERSUS AMATEUR
GRANDMASTER BATTLE MANUAL
REGGIO EMILIA 2007/2008
TACTIMANIA
SAN LUIS 2005
ATTACKING THE SPANISH
CUTTING EDGE 1: THE OPEN SICILIAN
CUTTING EDGE 2: SICILIAN NAJDORF 6.Be3

  1. Hello!

This was my order from 23/09/2016

    Order Number: 4412
    Order date: 23-09-2016
    Order notes
If the promotion FREE BOOK continues, please send me Attacking the Spanish. Thanks a lot!

In this order they didn’t send me any book. I bought 3 hardback books (they are awesome!!!) Did I something wrong?

    Thanks a lot!

  2. @José Manuel

Hi, You did nothing wrong. Seems there was a slip at our distributor. We asked them to send 4, but it seems they only packed 3 and forgot the freebie. Sorry about that. We will find a way to get that book to you.

  3. @John Shaw

    Thanks for your quick response.
In October, 30, it’s my birthday and I can’t think of a better gift than 3 new hardbacks (well, maybe I can think two or three better gifts…)

So, Would it be possible to send two free books in that moment (for this order and the future one)? If this is so, please, tell me the way to do it.

    Thanks a lot!
PS: I’m studying the Scotch right now and the explanations about the pawn structure and plans for both sides are very very well done. It’s easy to think not only on moves, but on plans. Congratulations to you and your team!!!

  4. hey, I live in USA, could we also get some free books? (even order 5, get 1 free would be a good start if you want to reduce cost :-))

  5. @Stephen Jiang
It would make more sense financially for you to buy them of Chess4Less, Books from Europe or Staunton and save on the postage :-). But you can always write to salesgroup@qua…co.uk and see what they say.

  6. Is it possible to share any update from Michail Roiz’s Nimzo-Indian as part of the GM Repertoire series, which Jacob Aagaard mentioned at an earlier schedule post.
