While I am preparing a publishing schedule and a magazine article, for a few lectures I will give in the weekend and training two Indian players who have found their way into my house, I am surfing the internet and I found this:
As we are publishing David’s book on the 1st of November, I thought it only fitting that we promote this nice initiative!
Yesterday I bought 2 books of The Thinkers, one for my brother and the other was for me and I have to say that the pictures are incredible, I want to congratulate David and quality chess for editing this book, because I live in Barcelona and the book is printed in Catalonia I have already the book.
Congratulations!
Spain, not Catalonia 😛
@Alfonso Gisbert
Catalunya és el centre del mon d’escacs 😀
I was in Barcelona this summer. Great town, great people. Greetings to Catalunya!
@Chris
You are right Catalonia is part of Spain?
@Alfonso Gisbert
That is a debate QC will stay entirely out of!
Dear Jacob,
My answer was a funny answer to chris, but you are right.@Jacob Aagaard
If you managed to stay out of the Scotch debate you’ll manage to stay out of the Catalonia debate.
Meanwhile half the population in Catalonia does not want to be in Spain, so it is hard to find a decent solution.
Haver aconseguit una apertura no et fa el centre del món! Però les coses es mouen prou, sí! A veure si a Madrid espavilen.
Spanish opening was created by Ruy Lopez, Catalan opening was created by a russian and bought to have this name.
@PMarimon
Yeah, the catalan was bought but the idea worked and now they have an opening with their name.
You are right, and it was a good investment, still a top opening…, as Spanish opening also is 🙂
