Free Book of the Month for June/July

For the past few months we have had a special offer – if you buy three books or more and live inside the European Union (as defined by UPS) we will send you an extra book free. Recently the default option on the free book has been Grandmaster vs. Amateur but we will change that now to REGGIO EMILIA 2007/2008.

But if you already have Reggio Emilia or would prefer a different free book, then send us an email with your order, asking to have it replaced with one of the following titles:

TACTIMANIA
TRUE LIES IN CHESS
CHAMPIONS OF THE NEW MILLENNIUM
SAN LUIS 2005
ATTACKING THE SPANISH
GRANDMASTER VS AMATEUR
CUTTING EDGE 1: THE OPEN SICILIAN
CUTTING EDGE 2: SICILIAN NAJDORF 6.Be3

  1. I’ve purchased these two books, they are just great:
CUTTING EDGE 1: THE OPEN SICILIAN
CUTTING EDGE 2: SICILIAN NAJDORF 6.Be3

  2. Reggio Emilia is one of my favourite books. Learned a lot from that book.
Marin’s account of his battle against Korchnoi, and the ensuing analysis of some Korchnoi games was ground for one of the best training sessions I ever had with one of my friends.

Can I suggest the following idea ?

Have Marin write a book on Korchnoi:
1/ he mentioned several times in his books, that he is big fan of Korchnoi’s games
1/ grouped by theme which adds to the instructiveness.
2/ sprinkled with his own games and accounts where he emulates Korchnoi

Marin’s love for chess is inspiring.
His account of understanding Korchnoi’s queen exchange against Grishuk (learn from the legends) is on of my favourite chess anecdotes.
